Amber Snedden, PsyD is a Post-Doctoral Resident at Palm Beach Behavioral Health and Wellness. Dr. Snedden offers in person and virtual individual and family therapy services for children and adolescents, and is a certified Parent-Child Interaction Therapist (PCIT). She offers virtual PCIT services to families with children ages 2-7 years old, and children with developmental delays, who struggle with compliance and behavior. She also conducts psychological assessments with children and adolescents to address a variety of presenting problems, with a specialty in neurodevelopmental assessment.
Dr. Snedden has experience working therapeutically with a range of presentations including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), trauma, behavioral challenges, and mood disorders.
Dr. Snedden works from an integrative approach with an emphasis on behavioral and family systems theories. She finds value in working collaboratively with families and parents to provide therapeutic intervention, psychoeducation, resources, and support. Dr. Snedden believes growth and change occur when the entire family system is committed to treatment. Her primary goals are to build resilience, increase coping skills, and most importantly enhance quality of life for families.
Dr. Snedden graduated from Loyola University receiving a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She continued her graduate studies at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology where she earned her Master’s degree and Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology. Dr. Snedden earned her certification in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) in 2024.
